The OSCATOWN LONDON TOUR 2013 Day 7

The last day of our tour
After morning Pilates we took a bus to Abbey Road to cross the famous crossing (and nearly get run over taking photos!!)

...walked back to the tube station...

...which is a beautiful example of Art Deco design...

...changed lines at Baker Street, home of Sherlock Holmes...

...to the Hammersmith and City line, where people don't like having their photos taken...

...to Portobello Road Market...

...for some delicious street food...

...even more delicious Jamaican beer...

...and then it was Pimms time!!

...before wondering around the market and picking up some last-minute goodies.

...listening to some buskers...

...and soaking up the atmosphere...

We caught the bus back to our apartment for the last time...

...picked up our cases...

...and slept on the train all the way to the airport.

Goodbye everyone, thank you for the best tour yet and hopefully see you next year!!

The OSCATOWN LONDON TOUR 2013 Day 6

An early morning Cappuccino (probably the best in the world, from Bar Italia in Soho)...

...and a giant peanut butter milkshake...

...before jumping on the tube to the south...

...where we went to Borough Food Market...

In the center there is a quirky little pub...

...and some delicious home-made cakes...

...which everyone wanted to try...

...as well as some Cider Champagne made from apples...

We walked along the South Bank, following the River Thames...

...to the Tate Gallery, one of my favourite places in London...

We looked at a lot of modern art, and did a little too much shopping in the gift shop...

...before continuing our walk along the river...

...to watch some skateboarding...

...see a very strange hotel...

...look at some great 'street art'...

...then cross Waterloo Bridge for the best views of London...

We jumped on a bus...

...to get to our 'Champagne Afternoon Tea' at the Met Bar, in one of London's best hotels..

Cheers!!

The food was a wonderful selection of 'The Best of British'...

...which everyone really enjoyed...

...and we walked back to our apartment to another beautiful British sunset.
